On August 24 the Saratov region mass media representatives visited the Information Centre of the nuclear power plant in preparation for the celebration of the 250th anniversary of Balakovo city. The group of journalists was accompanied by employees of the regional Ministry of Industry and Energy.

The guests curiously acquainted themselves with the exposition of the Public Information Centre of the plant, because for many of them it was the first visit to the region’s energy giant. They asked their questions during the tour and briefing with participation of PIC’s Head, Yuri Terekhov.

“We have come here to acquaint residents of the region with the industry of Balakovo city through mass media”, Chief of the Regional Fuel and Energy Sector Directorate, Andrey Drozdov, commented on the journalists’ visit. “For me personally, this is not the first visit to Balakovo nuclear power plant, I have been here with the delegation of the Federal Assembly, and the impressions were very positive. We have seen with our own eyes that safety at the plant was provided in full, and it was in the hands of real professionals”.

Saratov journalists also visited other enterprises of the city like Balakovo Mineral Fertilizers Ltd. and Volga Diesel after Maminykh.
