Regulatory competence training for the representatives of the countries embarking on or developing their nuclear power programs

Transfer of safety knowledge is arranged by the Company in the framework of the Rostechnadzor’s Comprehensive Modular Program “Safety Regulation in the Field of Use of Atomic Energy” (CMP) developed by the specialists of JSC “VO “Safety” to support implementation of the RF international commitments and in accordance with the Rostechnadzor’s order.

This program is unique in that it accumulates the knowledge in the specialized field of safety regulation in atomic energy use; such programs are not available in the RF system of higher education. The CMP structure consists of eight topical modules constituting conceptual blocks, which collectively contain knowledge of all groups of regulatory competences according to the IAEA approaches (document SR-79).

The topics and content of lectures of the Rostechnadzor’s Comprehensive Modular Program “Safety Regulation in the Field of Use of Atomic Energy” are of a general informative nature and are focused on the formation of a complete general understanding of the subject by trainees, which would be sufficient for further independent detailed studies, in practical classes, on-the-job training or additional specialized courses.

The program is intended for two categories of trainees having basic nuclear engineering education:

  • specialists of the regulatory authority (management, experts, inspectors, specialists of technical support organizations);
  • specialists of the industry (designers, engineers, employees of specialized institutes, nuclear power plants, etc.).
