Kazakhstan to Build Solar Panel Producing Plant

The press-service of the National atomic company Kazatomprom reported that the construction of a new enterprise manufacturing solar panels based on silicon which is produced in Kazakhstan, is to begin in the vicinity of Astana.

It is also noted in the press-release that on December 10 the memorial capsule was to be installed into the basement of a would-be plant producing silicon solar panels.

The press-service of the NAC Kazatomprom explained that the plant is to be constructed as a part of a large-scale project which is being esecuted by the company together with the French consortium headed by the Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives of France. This project is to have a positive effect on of solar energy development in Kazakhstan as well as on creating a renewable energy sources production line.

The capsule installation event was to be attended by Vladimir Shkolnik, the chairman of the managing board of NAC Kazatomprom, Bernard Bigot, the head of the French Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives, Imangali Tazmagambetov, the head of the administration of Astana and Timur Kulibaev, the chairman of the managing board of the Nationa Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna.
