Code of Ethics of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation to be adopted by the end of this year

Seminar-conference “Introduction of Code of Ethics of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation” took place in Moscow Sept 17.

Director of the Corporate Development Center of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation and Manager of the Project to Develop and Introduce Corporate Code of Ethics Marina Liborakina, advisors — experts of Da-Strategy corporate development agency, heads of Personnel Consulting Center of Atomenergo, representatives of different departments of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation and Atomenergoprom OJSC.

The seminar was part of the project to develop and introduce corporate code of ethics. The objective of the meeting was to discuss the results of the preliminary pilot projects and to consider their best experience in preparing for the pilot project to be implemented at Rosatom.

The manager of the project Marina Liborakina said that the third version of the code was ready for discussion. The final version is supposed to be adopted by the end of this year. Advisor of the Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Vladimir Kuchinov said that at the initial stage they gave priority to the text but now they had to focus on the practical application of the code and determine its legal status.

Draft Code of Business Ethics was approved by the Board of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sept 11 2008. The code is being tested at pilot sites: St.Petersburg Atomenergoproekt, TVEL, State Scientific Center-Research Institute of Atomic Reactors (NIIAR), Mining Chemical Combine, Energoatom Concern — Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant, Atomtechenergo — Novovornezh Training Center, Mayak Production Association.
