JSC “VO “Safety” representatives took part in the information visit of the delegation from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Saint-Petersburg, including Leningrad NPP-2 and the Izhora Plant.

This event took place within the framework of international cooperation in the field of development of nuclear power and assurance of nuclear and radiation safety.

During the visit, the participants were introduced to the manufacturing and engineering capabilities of the Leningrad NPP, as well as practical aspects of designing, constructing, and operating new-generation power units. Special attention was paid to the issues of comprehensive safety of nuclear facilities, including the use of modern engineering and organizational solutions.

JSC “VO “Safety” representatives took part in working meetings and discussions regarding interaction of operating organizations and regulatory bodies, as well as the issues of meeting safety requirements at all stages of the NF life cycle. The participants visited the production facilities of the Plant, the main control room and the main technological zones of the power units.

JSC “VO “Safety” participation in this event allowed strengthening the professional contacts with both Vietnamese and Russian partners, as well as learn about best practices in the field of nuclear safety and personnel training.
