In early December, specialists of Joint Stock Company “VO “Safety” (a technical support organization of Rostechnadzor) held an on-the-job training course on the approaches to the review and assessment of the Preliminary Safety Analysis Report (PSAR) for ENRRA personnel. This training course is one of the stages of the capacity building of ENRRA personnel. The main objective of the training is to develop competences and practical skills among the trainees to conduct a safety review of the El Dabaa NPP.

During the training, the participants learned details about the methodology of the safety review and assessment of the safety case for the El Dabaa NPP. Particular emphasis was given to such important issues as development of a list of applicable regulatory documents, assessment criteria, tables of conformities and non-conformities, as well as comment sheets.
