Tatiana Ushmarova, an employee of JSC “VO “Safety”, for the first time ever took part in a sailing race

May 25, 2019, together with the team, Tatiana Ushmarova, a specialist in the Department of Scientific and Technical Support and International Cooperation of JSC “VO “Safety”, won the 3rd place in a sailing race in the Pirogov reservoir in Moscow. The team got a bronze medal and a cup.

For four years now, company “Polvetra” has been arranging sailing races dedicated to the opening of the navigation season. This year 10 sailboats of SB20 class took part in the race, each had 4 persons with a skipper from the team of “Polvetra” and “Russian Cruise Club”. In addition to skilled yachtspersons, the team had first-timers who wanted to try their hands at yachting.

“This is the first time that I have participated in a sailing race, before that I had only experience in sailing alone with no assistance. But racing means a teamwork. A skipper allocates duties among the crew members: Two trimmers, the third sailor puts up the gennaker, and the fourth is the captain’s mate. Cohesion here is crucial! Just like in any other case, concerted efforts and team spirit lead you to a victory,” Tatiana said.
