As part of the implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan on Cooperation in the Construction of a Nuclear Power Plant in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the management of JSC “VO “Safety” paid a working visit to the host country’s regulatory authorities: the Committee for Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the State Institution “Scientific and Engineering Center for Radiation and Nuclear Safety.”

The visit was conducted to implement the provisions of the document concerning the development of the state safety regulation system for the peaceful use of atomic energy, which is a key condition for the successful execution of the national nuclear power program of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed key areas of joint activities, including issues related to organizing continuous oversight at nuclear facilities. During the meetings, the participants reviewed in detail the technical and organizational aspects of preparing a framework agreement for the future long-term partnership.

The negotiations reaffirmed the mutual commitment to strengthening expert ties and paved the way for further expansion of cooperation.
