In the period of July 15 to 19, 2019 representatives of the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority (TAEK) audited activities of JSC “VO “Safety” in relation to the Akkuyu NPP Project. The audit confirmed that the quality of services rendered by JSC “VO “Safety” fully meets the high requirements of Certificate NYDKYB-002 of 30.03.2018 issued by TAER.

During the first days of the visit of the Turkish delegation, specialists of JSC “VO “Safety” provided them with information about the quality management system of the Company, services rendered under the Certificate and Contract with JSC Akkuyu Nuclear, structure of requirements for the conformity assessment of items produced for the Akkuyu NPP Project, manufacturing plants, and about the status of the long-lead equipment for the Turkish nuclear power plant.

On July 18-19, 2019 the representatives of TAEK inspected activities of the North-Western Branch of JSC “VO “Safety” at manufacturing plants. The participants of the inspection had a tour in the shops of PJSC “Izhora Plant” where items for the Akkuyu NPP are produced (flange and separation ring for the reactor pressure vessel, shell blanks for the in-vessel core barrel (Unit 2)). They also had a look at the ellipsoid blank part for the upper unit head and pressurizer bottom (Unit 2) which are manufactured by LLC OMZ-Spetsstal.
