Representatives of JSC “VO “Safety” (Technical Support Organization of Rostechnadzor) gave training courses on the following topics: “Safety Culture Fundamentals” and “Leadership and Commitment to Safety While Performing the Regulatory Activities” for the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) representatives. The training program was developed by the Quality Management Department of JSC “VO “Safety” and adapted at maximum for the management system operating in ENRRA.

JSC “VO “Safety” conducts training activities on the basis of the license for educational activities of the Department of Education of Moscow (No.038519 dd. 17.07.2017). Within the framework of the courses, the basic principles and requirements of safety culture, safety culture management tools, procedure for conducting self-assessments of ENRRA and methods to improve the level of safety culture among personnel were studied. Following the training results, the participants were awarded certificates of successful completion of the courses.

Ms. Elena Rusanova, Director of Quality Management Department of JSC “VO “Safety”, noted that establishment of safety culture is one of the important components of the regulatory body’s management system. “The knowledge gained will help the ENRRA’s managers and employees, who perform regulatory activities, to form “safe thinking” in the behavioral culture of their organization, as well as to proactively identify and minimize potential hazards,” she added.
