July 18, 2018 – Vladimir Tikhonov, Director General of JSC “VO “Safety”, met with Nguen Tuan Khai, Director General of the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety (VARANS).

The Vietnamese delegation arrived in Moscow with a scientific visit under the IAEA technical cooperation program to get acquainted with the Russian nuclear safety regulatory system.

During the meeting, Vladimir Tikhonov told about the status of JSC “VO “Safety” which is a technical support organization of Rostechnadzor, about areas of its activities, nuclear licensing process as well as conformity assessment of products and nuclear facilities.

“Russia has a long experience and unique developments in the peaceful use of atomic energy both for domestic as well as overseas projects. We are ready to render comprehensive advice to the regulatory authority of Vietnam in solving emerging issues. We have a competent organization possessing all the required technical and expert resources,” Vladimir Tikhonov said.
