JSC “VO “Safety” successfully completed a series of class-room training courses for the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA). The courses were intended to boost the qualification of the employees in nuclear and radiation safety for construction and operation of the NPP.

The training included four areas: accounting and control of radioactive substances and wastes, NPP design and construction, licensing for siting and construction of an NPP. Each class-room course included lectures and practical classes, presentations, individual tasks and a final test. Highly qualified experts of leading organizations of the Russian nuclear industry acted as instructors. Specifically, the Accounting and Control of Radioactive Substances and Wastes course was delivered by Valery Rassolov, a Chief Expert of the Review Division of the Department for Safety Review and Assessment of Nuclear Facilities of JSC “VO “Safety”. Instructors from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and the Rosatom Technical Academy taught the trainees in other subjects. All instructors possess many years of training including successful work with foreign specialists, many of them have academic degrees of Ph.D. and Doctor of Science. The trainees mentioned the high quality of the training and possibility to share experience.
