JSC “VO “Safety” will train Turkish specialists

JSC “VO “Safety” and Nuclear Energy Training Inspection Center of Turkey signed a contract for rendering training services. According to the contract, JSC “VO “Safety” will train Turkish specialists under additional professional refresher training programme “Supervision over Products Quality and Acceptance Inspections in the Field of Atomic Energy Use”. The event will take place based upon the Framework Agreement on Training signed by the parties in 2017. The training course is intended for 72 academic hours.

The training includes a general course on the nuclear safety regulatory system in the Russian Federation as well as specific courses in the area of the products quality supervision.

Having passed the first part of the training in the online form on the web-portal of JSC “VO “Safety” (umc.vosafety.ru), Turkish specialists will obtain required knowledge in the acceptance and quality supervision in relation to the products supplied in the course of the NPP construction.

The intramural part of the training will take place in Istanbul (Turkey) where specialists of the Training and Methodological Center of JSC “VO “Safety” will give consulting lectures and conduct certification as a result of which trainees will get relevant certificates on completion of the training.

Safe and sustainable development of nuclear industry depends significantly on the staff qualifications. For this reason, a systematic approach to staff training and continuous capacity building are among the key tasks in the development of nuclear infrastructure of embarking countries,” Director General of JSC “VO “Safety” Vladimir Tikhonov said.
