JSC “VO “Safety” participated in the World Atomic Week

An international forum “World Atomic Week” (WAW-2025) dedicated to Nuclear and allied industries, associated with the 80th anniversary of the Russian Nuclear Industry was held from September 25 to 28, 2025 in Moscow at the VDNKh. More than 20 thousand guests from 118 countries participated in the event. The main discussion point is the development of the nuclear technologies for the next 100 years.

The exhibition hall demonstrated to the guests the chronicle of the nuclear age and illustrated how the nuclear technologies change the lives of million people. The guests of the WAW-2025 observed various exhibition displays related to the nuclear industries in the “Past, Present, Future” format.

Representatives of JSC VO “Safety” participated in the business program of the forum under the motto “Everything starts with Atom”. The program included plenary meeting and the number of thematic round tables involving experts, politicians and the foreign leaders of the nuclear industry.

Within the framework of the forum JSC “VO “Safety” jointly with Rostechnadzor conducted a working meeting with Sami Shaaban Ata-Allah Soliman a representative of the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA).

During the second day of the business program the Deputy Director General of JSC “VO “Safety” A. Berdnikov jointly with the representatives of Rostechnadzor participated in the thematic session “The quality cannot be checked in the product – quality should be created in it” which discussed the issues of use of the new approaches to conformity assessment in order to improve the quality of products.

The forum also became the ground for practical agreements: agreements on expansion of the further contracts were reached and the new directions for practical cooperation were reviewed. More than 50 documents were signed during WAW-2025. Among the most notable are the following: a memorandum on construction of a small NPP in Iran; an agreement on the further steps for the Myanmar NPP construction project; contracts for construction fuel supply of the World’s first large and small NPP complex in Uzbekistan; action plan for NPP construction project in Ethiopia.
