Joint Stock Company “VO “Safety” has become the first organization in Russia to be certified to ISO 19443:2018 “Quality management systems — Specific requirements for the application of ISO 9001:2015 by organizations in the supply chain of the nuclear energy sector supplying products and services important to nuclear safety (ITNS)”, and this step emphasizes the status of the leading expert in the field of scientific and technical support for the Russian nuclear and radiation safety regulatory body (Rostechnadzor).

ISO 19443:2018 is an international standard developed by the ISO Special Committee on nuclear energy, nuclear technologies, and radiological protection together with the NQSA (Nuclear Quality Standard Association) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The standard is developed to prevent possible risks in nuclear energy and to provide companies with a regulation to follow safety principles in their work.

Representatives of JSC “Bureau Veritas Certification Russia” assessed the effective management system of JSC “VO “Safety”. The auditing company was selected because of its huge experience and international recognition. The audit pointed out a high level of safety culture, the use of the graded approach and effective risk management.

“This certificate means that nuclear safety is the priority for JSC “VO “Safety” in rendering services in the field of nuclear energy, while for the international partners it is yet another confirmation that the company fully complies with the international standards, that is, it will show high results and is worthy of trust,” noted Elena Rusanova, Director of the Quality Management Department of JSC “VO “Safety”.
