The Training and Qualification Center of JSC “VO “Safety” successfully completed the second part of a two-week training held for Turkish specialists in Istanbul. Eleven representatives of the Nuclear Energy Training Inspection Center of Turkey got certificates issued by JSC “VO “Safety” to confirm their completion of the course under the additional professional refresher training program “Supervision over Products Quality and Acceptance Inspections in the Field of Atomic Energy Use”.

The training was held under the Contract for Educational Services signed by the organizations in 2019. The purpose of the training is to build up a team of qualified trainers in the area of product quality supervision and conformity assessment in the field of atomic energy to ensure scientific and technical support for the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority (TAEK). From now on, the specialists will start working at the Akkuyu NPP of the Russian design, which is under construction in Turkey.

Let us recall that the first part of the training was in the online form on the web-portal of JSC “VO “Safety” ( umc.vosafety.ru), as a result, the Turkish specialists got required knowledge in the acceptance and quality supervision in relation to the products supplied in the course of the NPP construction.

During the final part of the training that was held in the Turkish Republic (in Istanbul), the representatives of JSC “VO “Safety” gave consultation lectures on the safety of nuclear power plants under extreme external events effects; on human factors during the NPP life cycle; on the structure of NPP; on physical principles of reactor operation as well as the NPP as a whole.
