January 27 to 31, the delegation of JSC “VO “Safety” headed by Director General Vladimir Tikhonov held a working visit to Dhaka (Bangladesh) and had a number of meetings and negotiations with the representatives of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (BAERA). Based on the results of the bilateral negotiations, the second contract till 2021 was signed for rendering consultancy and engineering services during the construction of the Rooppur NPP.

Let us recall that the General Framework Contract between BAERA and a technical support organization of Rostechnadzor, JSC “VO “Safety”, was signed on November 18, 2016. According to the Contract, JSC VO “Safety” renders engineering services in the area of nuclear and radiation safety regulation to support the main regulatory processes of BAERA during siting, designing, manufacturing, and construction of the Rooppur NPP. The new contract includes activities in different fields, including rendering technical assistance to BAERA and conformity assessment of equipment for the Rooppur NPP.
