From December 21 to December 30, the delegation of JSC “VO “SAFETY” headed by Director General Mr. Vladimir Tikhonov made a working visit to Dhaka (People’s Republic of Bangladesh) and held a number of meetings and conferences with representatives of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (BAERA). As a result of the negotiations, a third contract was signed for the provision of consulting and engineering services for the construction of the Rooppur nuclear power plant until 2025.

It should be mentioned that the general framework contract between the organization of scientific and technical support of Rostekhnadzor JSC “VO “Safety” and BAERA was signed on November 18, 2016. In accordance with the contract, JSC “VO “Safety” provides engineering services in the field of nuclear and radiation safety regulation in support of the main regulatory processes carried out by BAERA during the siting, design, production and construction activities for the Rooppur NPP. The new contract includes work in various areas, including the provision of technical support to BAERA and the conformity assessment of equipment for the Rooppur NPP.
