In the period of October 10-12 acting Director General of JSC “VO “Safety” Alexey Gorbachev with an official delegation headed by Aleksey Ferapontov, Deputy Chairman of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia (Rostechnadzor), made a working visit to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Dhaka. During the visit, a number of meetings were held with representatives of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (BAERA). The Parties discussed the current state of cooperation, summed up the results of joint activities and outlined short-term plans.

As a reminder: General Framework Contract between JSC “VO “Safety”, technical support organization of Rostechnadzor, and BAERA was signed on November 18, 2016. In accordance with the Contract JSC “VO “Safety” renders engineering services in the field of regulation of nuclear and radiation safety to support key regulatory processes to be performed by BAERA during siting, design, manufacture and construction of the Rooppur NPP.
