The Training and Methodological Center of the Krasnoyarsk Branch of JSC “VO “Safety” holds training for electrical engineering and process personnel of electrical utilities who directly arrange and perform maintenance of electrical installations in operation or perform adjustment works, electric installation, and repair activities or preventive testing. Training is also arranged for personnel who have the right to issue work orders, orders, hold on-line talks, as well as for people responsible for electrical equipment and their deputies, labor protection specialists who are in charge of monitoring of electric installations.

The activities listed can only be performed by specialists who have been appropriately trained and examined in compliance with the requirements of the Operational Regulations for Customers’ Electrical Installations (PTEEP) as approved by Order No. 6 of the RF Ministry of Energy dated January 13, 2003, and the Rules of Human Resources Management in Electric Power Organizations of the Russian Federation as approved by Order No. 49 of the RF Ministry of Energy dated February 19, 2000.

Alongside, the personnel of the electric utilities, managers and specialists of electric power entities are trained in the Training and Methodological Center of the Krasnoyarsk Branch of JSC “VO “Safety”. As required by the legislation in force, arrangement of education and training of production and technical personnel is among the conditions of electric power entities to be deemed ready for the heating season.
The training is held in Krasnoyarsk, Abakan, Achinsk, and Lesosibirsk. It is provided both in the intra- and extra-mural forms with different training methods and techniques combined, including distance learning technologies and e-teaching.

“Today, you can hardly imagine the human race to live without electricity. All the production processes and types of activities, including work in an office, are in some way related to the use of electric equipment. Therefore, one of the major reasons of accidents is an electric shock of an employee,” said Aleksandr Matviyevskiy, Deputy Director of the Krasnoyarsk Branch. “When working with electrical equipment, the personnel must follow the established standards and rules, correctly take prompt decisions; in other words, be well-prepared. The electric safety group is an indicator of qualifications of such employees (electrical safety groups II to IV),” he added.

This year, within the framework of the training for engineering and process personnel, the Training and Methodological Center has updated its instrumentation and training materials of the educational program.
