{"id":11906,"date":"2016-03-02T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-03-02T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vo.afonico-test.ru\/novosti-otrasli\/vessel-delivered-for-tianwan-4\/"},"modified":"2016-03-02T12:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-03-02T09:00:00","slug":"vessel-delivered-for-tianwan-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vosafety.ru\/en\/novosti-otrasli\/vessel-delivered-for-tianwan-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Vessel delivered for Tianwan 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>The reactor pressure vessel for unit 4\u00a0of the Tianwan nuclear power plant in China\u2019s Jiangsu province has been delivered to the construction site.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The component\u00a0\u2014 weighing 323\u00a0tonnes and measuring over 11\u00a0meters in length and 4.5\u00a0meters in diameter\u00a0\u2014 arrived at the site on 24\u00a0February, five days ahead of schedule, China National Nuclear Corporation announced yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The pressure vessel was produced in Russia by OMZ subsidiary Izhorskiye Zavody under a contract awarded in 2010\u00a0for the manufacture of the vessels for both Tianwan units 3\u00a0and 4. The vessel was transported from St Petersburg on an ocean-going transport ship which delivered it to the port of Lianyungang in Jiangsu province. It was then unloaded and put onto a barge for the remainder of the journey to the Tianwan site.<\/p>\n<p>Tianwan 4\u00a0is the second of two AES-91\u00a0VVER-1000\u00a0units designed by Gidropress, a subsidiary of Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom. Two similar units have been in commercial operation at the Tianwan site since 2007. AtomStroyExport, another Rosatom subsidiary, is the main contractor, supplying the nuclear island. Construction work began on unit 3\u00a0in December 2012, with unit 4\u00a0following in September 2013.
