The Committee was headed by Nikolay Karelin, Head of the Department for Professional Training of the Russian and Foreign Nuclear Power Plants\u2019 Personnel of the Office for Staffing and Professional Personnel Training of the Human Resources and Social Work Department of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Also, the qualification group included representatives of training units of Balakovo, Kursk and Novovoronezh nuclear power plants, JSC VNIIAES and the Human Resources and Social Work Department of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. <\/p>\n
During the work, the Committee checked the organization and management of training, TU personnel\u2019s qualification, NPP personnel training and proficiency maintaining program, as well as the general condition of TU training facilities and teaching materials used for the staff\u2019s training. In the followup of the four-day work, there have been made recommendations for the future activities of the Training Unit. The check identified the strengths of TU. Practicing remote teaching of the personnel and carrying out of the annual professional contest \u201cThe Best TU Instructor\u201d were noted by the Committee as good utility practices. <\/p>\n
Yuri Lebedev, Head of Rostov NPP Training Unit, noted: \u201cOur main task is to increase and maintain the skilled level of the staff of Rostov nuclear power plant. And the check results show that we perform our duties properly\u201d.<\/p>\n
According to the work results of the Committee, the Training Unit of Rostov NPP was certified for four years and confirmed its right to organize, train and maintain proficiency of the personnel of the nuclear power plant. <\/p>\n
Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The enterprise is situated on the bank of Tsimlyansk Reservoir at 13,5\u00a0km from Volgodonsk. NPP operates two power units with VVER-1000\u00a0reactors with the capacity of 1,000\u00a0MW. Unit 1\u00a0was commissioned in 2001\u00a0and Unit 2\u00a0\u2014 in December 2010. Power Units 3\u00a0and 4\u00a0are under construction.<\/p>\n
