The delegates were accompanied by a group of representatives of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, led by Deputy Director General Pyotr Schedrovitsky.<\/p>\n<p>The key objective of the Japanese guests was to see the Russian uranium conversion and enrichment technologies. The visit was part of the May 12 2009 joint statement of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan for cooperation in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy.<\/p>\n<p>The guests were told about AECC\u2019s projects and technologies.<\/p>\n<p>They visited the chemical and separation plants, Chelnok uranium hexafluoride transfer system and the Central Laboratory. The parties discussed the prospects of the Russian-Japanese cooperation on nuclear fuel cycle.<\/p>\n<p>The guests highly evaluated AECC\u2019s industrial and ecological safety systems and its successful experience of use of automated environment control systems and practice of publication of annual reports on ecological safety. Director of AECC Alexander Belousov pointed out that industrial and ecological safety were among the key priorities of the company.<em \/><\/p>\n<p><em>AECC is 100% subsidiary of Atomenergprom OJSC. It has many years\u2019 experience in the field of production of natural and enriched uranium hexafluoride used for fabrication of fuel for nuclear power plants. AECC serves as the basis for the world\u2019s first international uranium enrichment center opened in 2007.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>JSC Atomenergoprom provides full production cycle in nuclear power industry consolidating leading enterprises and organizations of the industry (its history is over 60 years) and the experience accumulated over the whole range of NFC and NPP building technologies (at present the issuer\u2019s consolidation perimeter incorporates the largest enterprises of nuclear energy industry namely: Atomredmetzoloto, TENEX, TVEL, Energoatom Concern, separation and sublimate complex enterprises as well as enterprises of engineering and service, development of new technologies, etc). According to the consolidated reporting of the company, the issuer\u2019s revenue in 2008 (disregarding the joining date of subsidiaries and affiliates) was 290.5 bn. RUR, the revenue was 146.5 bn.
